Funeral Live Streaming for Caribbean Families: Share the Service with Loved Ones Back Home

Let family back home be part of the homegoing

A funeral brings the whole family and community together. When someone dies in the UK, many of the people who knew them best may be in Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, Guyana, Grenada, St Lucia, Antigua or elsewhere in the Caribbean: parents, aunts and uncles, brothers, sisters, cousins and old friends. Flights at short notice can be costly or difficult. Peter’s live streaming service lets them watch the service as it happens, so they can share in the hymns, tributes and farewell even though they can’t be in the room.

One private link, easy to pass on

Peter creates a private web page for the service and streams to it live. You decide who receives the link, so you can send it to relatives in the Caribbean and to friends elsewhere in the UK, the US, Canada or further afield. They can watch on a phone, tablet, laptop or Smart TV, and the link is simple to share by WhatsApp or text. Up to 10 photographs of your loved one can be shown on the page.

A respectful presence on the day

Peter works calmly and discreetly, staying in the background so the service goes ahead just as your family and church wish. That includes the hymns, readings, tributes, eulogy and committal. If there are moments you’d prefer not to be filmed, tell him beforehand and he will plan around them.

Works at any venue

Peter’s equipment works without the venue’s WiFi or mains power, so a weak signal or a lack of sockets won’t interrupt the broadcast. If you’d like, and where the venue allows, he can film at the family home, through the service and on to the graveside, so relatives overseas can follow the whole day.

Plan around the time difference

The Caribbean is between 4 and 6 hours behind the UK, depending on the island and the time of year. For example, Jamaica is 5 hours behind in winter and 6 hours behind during British Summer Time, while Barbados and Trinidad are 4 hours behind in winter and 5 hours behind in summer. Peter can help you choose how to share the start time so everyone knows exactly when to join.

A recording to keep and share

After the service, Peter lightly edits the footage and adds it to the same private page. Relatives who couldn’t watch live, perhaps because of the time difference, can watch whenever suits them, and you can download a copy to keep for the family.

Fair, clear pricing

Peter is a full-time videographer and live streaming specialist, offering a considerate, professional service at a fair price. Live streaming to the Caribbean for one venue starts at £315.00 + travel.

Common questions

Can our relatives in the Caribbean watch live?
Yes. Anyone with an internet connection can join using the private link, wherever they are.

Can we share the link with a large number of people?
Yes. You choose who receives it, and you can send it to as many family members and friends as you wish.

What about the time difference?
It depends on the island and the time of year, but the Caribbean is between 4 and 6 hours behind the UK. Peter can help you plan the start time.

Can you film more than the service itself?
Yes. Peter can stream from the family home, the service and the graveside, where the venue allows.

What if the venue has no WiFi or power?
That’s not a problem. Peter’s equipment works without either.

Will there be a recording afterwards?
Yes. A lightly edited version is added to your private page, where it can be watched again or downloaded.

How much does it cost?
Live streaming for one venue starts from £315.00 + travel.
