A eulogy is often the heart of a funeral. It is where a life is remembered in words, with stories, humour and love that only those closest can share. For relatives and friends who cannot travel, hearing those words as they are spoken can mean a great deal. Peter live streams the eulogy and the tributes around it, so everyone can listen together, whether they are in the room or far away. He keeps a quiet, respectful presence, so the focus stays on the person speaking and the person being remembered.
Clear sound for every word
The words matter most, so Peter pays close attention to sound. He positions his equipment to pick up the speaker clearly, whether they are at a lectern, beside the coffin or speaking from their seat. Guests watching at home can hear the eulogy as clearly as those in the room, including the pauses, the laughter and the quiet moments between.
Tributes, readings and music
Eulogies are often joined by readings, poems, favourite songs and tributes from several family members and friends. Peter can stream all of these, so nothing is missed. If a relative is unable to attend but would like to contribute, please ask Peter about the options available.
A private page for your guests
Peter sets up a private web page and streams live straight to it. You choose who receives the link, and it can be passed to anyone with an internet connection, whether they live nearby or on the other side of the world. Guests can watch on a computer, phone, tablet, iPad or Smart TV. You can also add up to 10 photographs of your loved one to the page.
Nothing needed from the venue
Peter’s equipment is completely self-contained, so it needs neither the venue’s WiFi nor a mains socket. He arrives in good time, sets up discreetly and is ready before the service begins, so there is nothing for you or your funeral director to arrange.
The whole service, if you wish
Many families choose to stream the whole service, and with your agreement, Peter can also stream from the family home, follow the procession, continue to the graveside or committal, and carry on to the wake. You decide how much is shared.
A recording to keep
A eulogy is something many families want to hear again, and to keep for those who come after. After the service, Peter carefully edits the footage and uploads it to your private page. Family and friends can watch it again whenever they wish, and you can download a copy to keep.
Respectful of your wishes
Every family has its own wishes, and a eulogy can be deeply personal. Please let Peter know if there are parts of the service that should not be filmed, or if a speaker would prefer not to be streamed. He will follow your wishes with care and discretion.
