Live Streaming from a Woodland Burial Ground

Share a natural farewell, wherever people are

A woodland burial is a quiet, personal way to say goodbye, set among trees and open air rather than a traditional building. Many families choose it for exactly that reason. But the same peaceful setting is often a long way from where relatives and friends live, and some may simply be unable to make the journey. Peter live streams woodland burials so those people can be present as it happens, from wherever they are. He keeps a gentle, respectful distance, so the focus stays on your loved one and the people gathered around them.

Set up for the outdoors

Woodland burial grounds are often remote, with no WiFi, no mains power and sometimes patchy mobile signal. Peter’s equipment is completely self-contained, so it needs neither a mains socket nor an internet connection from the site. He arrives in good time, sets up quietly away from the mourners and is ready before the family arrives. Please let him know the location in advance so he can plan for access, parking and the walk to the burial area.

Whatever the weather

Woodland services take place outside, so the day is shaped by the season and the weather. Peter is experienced in working outdoors and dresses and prepares accordingly, so the stream carries on whether it is sunshine, drizzle or a cold, windy morning.

A service in more than one place

Some families hold a ceremony in a chapel or marquee on site, while others gather at the graveside only, or begin at a church or crematorium and then travel to the burial ground. With your agreement, Peter can stream from the family home, follow the procession, film the service, continue to the burial and carry on to the wake. You decide how much of the day is shared.

A private page for your guests

Peter sets up a private web page and streams live straight to it. You choose who receives the link, and it can be passed to anyone with an internet connection, whether they live nearby or on the other side of the world. Guests can watch on a computer, phone, tablet, iPad or Smart TV. You can also add up to 10 photographs of your loved one to the page.

Respectful of the setting and your wishes

Many woodland burial grounds ask visitors to keep disturbance to a minimum, and every family has its own wishes. Please let Peter know about any rules at the site, moments that should not be filmed, or requests from your celebrant or officiant. He will follow them with care and discretion.

A recording to keep

After the day, Peter carefully edits the footage and uploads it to your private page. Family and friends can watch it again whenever they wish, and you can download a copy to keep.

Peter is a full-time videographer and live streaming specialist, offering a caring and professional service at a reasonable price. Live streaming from a woodland burial ground is £315.00 + travel.

Common questions

Can relatives who live far away watch a woodland burial?
Yes. Anyone with an internet connection can join from anywhere in the country or abroad.

Do you need WiFi or power at the burial ground?
No. Peter’s set-up works without either, so there is nothing for you to arrange.

What if there is no mobile signal at the site?
Please tell Peter the location when you book. He will check the coverage and let you know what is possible before the day - however, with a satellite uplink, there should be no problem

Does the burial ground need to give permission?
Some sites have their own rules on filming. Peter can check with the burial ground or your funeral director on your behalf, so just let him know the location.

Can you stream more than the burial itself?
Yes. Peter can stream from the family home, follow the procession, film the service and continue to the burial and wake.

Will the filming be intrusive?
No. Peter keeps his equipment small and unobtrusive, and works at a respectful distance from the family.

Can we keep the recording?
Yes. The edited video is added to your private page and can be downloaded.

How much does it cost?
£315.00 + travel.
